I am Irène Poetschke, a young painter of 21 years old. I decided to take a chance and throw myself into my passion: art.

My paintings are transcriptions of images coming out of my unconscious.

Art (and especially painting) is first and foremost my means of expression.
I need to create something visual and see it to understand myself better. Playing with the material is also a way to free myself. Painting allows me to create whatever I see in my head, want to see and express.

It’s also a way to connect with others.
I want to touch people through my paintings, just with a look, without speaking, not to leave you indifferent!

I find it fascinating to see how each person can feel different emotions when faced with a work, in accordance with themselves and their story. I like everyone to make their own interpretation and introspection of my works according to their feelings and their life: I want the person to see them and connect with them in their own way which will surely be different from my personal vision.
